Attended Mission Valley High School in Kansas. State Champions in 2001 and 2003, while placing 3rd in 2002 and 2004.  Awarded All League all 4 years.  She chose to continue her softball career with Washburn University, where she was awarded All-MIAA honors 3 times, voted team MVP as a sophomore, and was MIAA athlete of the week twice.  Recorded 700 innings pitched, 2 perfect games and 11 shutouts in her career.
